Southern Family Style Traveling in Myrtle Beach
“Have you ever heard of the term, ‘hook to plate?’ Well, let me assure you that term was coined by The Wicked Tuna, Murrell’s Inlet’s premier waterfront dining. You can watch as their main boat pulls in and drops off your order right below the deck of the restaurant.”

16 Fun Things To Do In Myrtle Beach With Kids
“We had a delicious seafood dinner at the slightly upmarket Wicked Tuna which is in the MarshWalk. As Murrells Inlet is known as the seafood capital of South Carolina, it was the perfect dinner choice. The seafood at this restaurant is straight from hook to table. They have seven boats that go out each day to bring back the best of the local catch.”
Best Restaurants in Myrtle Beach (Family Focus Blog)
“This trendy, upscale addition to the Murrells Inlet Marshwalk prides itself on breathtaking views and innovative cuisine and it delivers in both areas! It located outside of Myrtle Beach really but worth the trip to experience the whole area. The Wicked Tuna sushi menu in particular is unique. I got the Surf and Turf Roll and it was delicious. They also had a very tasty cocktail menu.”
"Holy.Crap. This photo just doesn’t even do my meal justice. Today we had lunch at @thewickedtunasc after our morning kayak tour with @blackriveroutdoors and this meal was HANDS DOWN the best seafood meal I’ve ever had. Hands down. I almost tipped my plate back to drink the olive oil that the fish was cooked in. Before our meal, we toured the restaurant that is located in Murrells Inlet where their fishing boats pull up directly to the restaurant with fish caught that same morning. The fish are cleaned and prepped on site in their very own fish house before they are brought upstairs to cook and serve right to their guests. And today they had just caught hogfish which feeds on lobster, so the fish has a sweet taste similar to it! We were able to see the hogfish (which have the most insane “snouts” ever!!) prepped and walked upstairs where they cooked it on the spot! And they topped the fish with crab, lobster, olive oil, lemon juice and potatoes that soaked up every little bit of flavor! It was fantastic. Straight up fantastic. I could honestly eat this meal for the rest of my life and be completely happy. Going back to a landlocked state is going to be tough knowing that I may never have hogfish again. If you’re ever in SC, get to this spot immediately!! Dead. @mymyrtlebeach#paleomgtravel" -Juli Bauer Roth

Where to Eat
“Murrells Inlet, about a 20-minute drive from downtown Myrtle Beach, is nicknamed “the seafood capital of the world.” A standout restaurant is Wicked Tuna, with eight boats ferrying in fresh fish, shrimp and oysters each day. ”
Best View on the MarshWalk
"Wicked Tuna has their own fishing fleet that delivers fresh seafood to the restaurant daily. We actually saw the seafood in their deep freezer room! Wicked Tuna also has top grade steaks, signature cocktails, happy hour and live music. Plan to attend one of their signature events such as Trivia Tuesdays at the Tuna Shak, salsa dancing or a wine dinner. It is a great place to gather with friends, family, go on a date night or watch a sports game."
